There has been some confusion about the spelling of “Chocolatey Mistress”. Some of our members believe it should be “Chocolaty” or even “Choclaty”. So, which is the correct spelling, and what are the global consequences of misspelling Her name?

Which is the correct spelling?

The answer to this is not a straightforward one. The official position of the Chocolate Cake Church on this - wisely and rightfully decided by the High Priest - is that the correct spelling is “Chocolatey Mistress”.

However in some ancient texts, one can also find other spellings. So they are not altogether wrong, they are just not favourably looked upon in this day and age. Even something as everlasting as Chocolate Cake, has to face and accept cultural changes, including changes in spelling.

So will I starve in Vanilla Hell if I use it wrong?

No, you will not. The Chocolatey Mistress is a very forgiving deity. In contrast to some other (imaginary, I might add) deities, she has no personal issues or complexes. That is the reason why she has no urge to suppress her followers. Nor does she draw satisfaction from her worshippers lacking it.
