Every day is Chocolate Cake day
Chocolate Cake, Chocolatey Mistress May 27th, 2008The question about timing has been brought to our attention by beginning believers. They were concerned if the weekday when you bake or eat Chocolate Cake would matter. I will try to shed light on this apparently important topic.
The Chocolatey Mistress is happy about Chocolate Cake no matter wether it was baked on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. She also does not mind when you eat Chocolate Cake. Contrary to other religions, we do not discriminate weekdays. Each day is equally important to us.
Like a true and powerful deity, the Chocolatey Mistress created the world with the blink of an eye, and has been enjoying her Cake ever since. She wants her followers to have the same luxury.
However, there is one limitation. The ancient Chocolate Tablets do recommend that Chocolate Cake should not be consumed later than 3 days after baking, because the spiritual bond between the Cake and the Mistress is broken by then. And along with the power of the Mistress, are gone flavour, sweetness, and edibility. While this is not a binding law, we strongly emphasise the Tablets’ superior wisdom on these matters, and recommend everyone to follow them.

Does this mean that cake bought from grocery stores is not allowed under the Chocolatey Mistress? Generally they are made several days in advance, and have probably surpassed the 3 day limit. Will her Chocolateyness mind, o great priest?

The Chocolatey Mistress will not think any less of you. However you also will not enjoy the full power of fresh Chocolate Cake and the Mistress, which is why the Chocolate Tablets recommed this time frame. If you have never tried a fresh piece before, I can only beg you to try it. I’m certain the intensity of the experience will make you quiver.
